[cdwg] Lustre 2.3 update - May 25th 2012

Hi there

Here is an update on the Lustre 2.3 release.

Landings
========

-A number of landings made - see 
http://git.whamcloud.com/?p=fs/lustre-release.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/master
-the RHEL6 kernel update tracked under LU1424 included a fix for the 
kernel bug that caused LU1191 so our NFS testing is unblocked

Testing
=======

-Testing on the 2.2.52 tag is complete; testing will commence on the 
2.2.54 tag which will be created shortly

Blockers
========

-Full list available at

Other
=====

-Two patches that had passed testing independently and landed were found 
to conflict so one of them was reverted; details are in the comments in 
http://review.whamcloud.com/#change,2880; anyone submitting a patch 
should ensure that they rebase on the tip of master to ensure that their 
test run is not impacted by this issue; this issue means that the 2.2.53 
tag is not suitable for testing
-We will continue to provide periodic updates on our progress on this
