This is the first week that we are transferring our correspondence to e-mail and we are holding teleconferences until we have a more steady flow of agenda items. Please feel free to post ideas and tasks to this email list serve. Below I have addressed what I think are the upcoming communication items for OpenSFS. -SWG/RPWG re-installing group, version 2.0; -re-stating text on website to communicate change in group structure and meeting times -google group? would this be useful? will create new mailing list once we have a name for the group -public communication; Pam announced on the community telecon, distribute a small PR to the lustre mailing list -next telecon? Let me know if you would like to add/subtract/change anything on the list. I look forward to your feedback! I just want to welcome Jeff to the Communication Working Group. He is going to help us with the logo scroll on the organization page (among other things). Since, fortunately, we are getting more members we might want a better scroll system. Would we like to change to the OpenFabrics model http://www.openfabrics.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=9&Itemid=84 or have a bar scroll with several companies scrolling along at one time? Thoughts? Website updates -calendar updated to show the Community Development Working Group CDWG bi-weekly meeting and time changes for board/community teleconferences. -SGI/Sandia websites added to links sidebar. -Sandia announcement added to sidebar (still waiting for PR to be posted on "in the news" page. -Contributors agreement draft added to resources page on website. -waiting for new document to change FAQ and post MOU. Please respond to this e-mail with any thoughts/comments/questions/concerns. Thanks! The item announcing Sandia is missing a helping verb, 'is'. The OpenSFS board suggests that as a reward for your diligent service in the OpenSFS working groups, you should be invited to participate in a OpenSFS working group cross-fertilization telecon. This biweekly telecon will interleave with the OpenSFS byweakly (SP!) community telecom. The purpose of this telecom is to sych up the working groups with the board and vice versa and to discuss coordination, boundary, communications, tools (e.g., mailing lists, wiki’s, web sites, git repositories, document management systems, etc) requirements and other x-wg issues. We will also discuss the white papers and processes to move the working group activities forward. Please plan to attend.
