I think that this only half captures the point Andreas was making. His
point was that using technology previews can work well if the preview
proves that the development is suitable for broader usage, but in cases
like SOM where this has not been so it can cause headaches because
you need to consider how to deal with those using the deprecated version
of the feature when creating the revised version.
